According to our Nourished Life Naturopath, mainstream toothpastes can contain questionable ingredients and compounds such as Triclosan, SLS and Artificial Sweeteners, and as our mouths provide a method of administering medications, these potentially dangerous ingredients can make their way into your bloodstream. Conventional toothpastes may also contain plastic microbeads, which are neither good for us or for the environment. Thankfully there are now many natural toothpastes available in great tasting, alternative flavours!
