When was the last time you took some time for yourself and applied a facial mask? I find that when I’m tired or feeling stressed, a face mask is the perfect way to relax! Like all other skincare that I use and recommend, natural face masks are the way to go! Chemical free and ultra soothing"¦ what’s not to love!

Here on Nourished Life we have a huge range of natural face masks that are each designed for different skincare needs. This is important to consider when selecting which one is the best for you. If you have dry, dehydrated skin then you’ll need to use a moisturising face mask for example!

Face mask for brightening skin!

If your skin is feeling a little dull, grey or needing a lift then I highly recommend the 100% Pure Caffeine Mask! This mask is really good for leaving skin revitalised, restored and rejuvenated. It is also formulated using hydrogel which is a material made up of 95% water and 5% cellulose. This means that it is super fast absorbing and won’t leave any heavy residue! It’s also really easy to use! Just carefully place the mask on your skin and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing with cold water. This face mask is great for reducing any redness in your complexion by bringing blood to the surface. You’ll be left looking fresher than ever!

Eye mask for tired eyes!

Often after working during the day and coming home to kids at night, my eyes can be left looking a little tired! To combat this, I love applying the 100% Pure Bright Eyes Mask in the morning when I wake up. This eye mask is the ultimate morning luxury because it’s intensely hydrating and doesn’t need to be washed off. Similarly to the caffeine face mask, this product is formulated using hydrogel. This hydrogel absorbs very quickly into the skin and moisturises your delicate eye area. It also helps active ingredients to sink in faster! This eye mask is highly caffeinated and full of natural ingredients including Organic Matcha Green Tea and Organic Green Coffee which may help to de-puff and brighten eyes. No wonder you will look so awake! To use, simply apply over the eyes after your skin has been cleansed. Leave for 15-20 minutes and voila! Wide awake eyes!

Face mask for acne prone skin!

If your skin is prone to acne or hormonal breakouts then using a good face mask can be an absolute life saver! I recommend trying out the Acure Pore Minimizing Red Clay Mask. I love this face mask for acne prone skin because it’s high in iron oxide for cell renewal and removes dead skin to create a more refreshed appearance. This is also great for anyone who has generally oily skin because it actually treats oily skin while strengthening and firming!

Face mask for mature skin!

If your skin care concerns are fine lines, wrinkles or ageing then the 100% Pure Super Fruits Scrub/Mask is ideal! It’s actually a 2-in-1 which can be used as a gentle exfoliator and a hydrating facial mask! That’s because this product contains jojoba beads that are gentle enough to remove any dead skin cells without irritating skin. I like to use this product by wetting my face and then applying it like a mask. After I’ve waited a few minutes I massage it into my skin like an exfoliator. The ingredients in this mask are some of the most powerful anti-ageing fruits in the world so are really amazing for helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles!

Face mask for sensitive skin!

Is your skin sensitive and needing some nourishment? Then my face mask pick for you is the Dr Alkaitis Organic Universal Mask. This mask is one of our best sellers because it works to help soothe irritated and inflamed skin. It’s packed full of green ingredients like kale and spirulina that contain many beneficial vitamins, minerals and antioxidants for your skin.

I would recommend using this mask once per week by mixing a full teaspoon with approximately one teaspoon of water. Mix these two ingredients together until they form a thing pasted that you can apply to your face. Leave on for 10-20 minutes and keep the mask moist by spritzing with water. When the green ingredients are moistened they actually activate and allow your skin to reap the benefits! If you want even more hydration my tip is to mix the mask with goat's milk yogurt and/or a teaspoon of raw organic honey. So hydrating!
