I share with you what I use out of the thousands products I get to try.
Here I am on my bedroom floor sharing with you my personal skin care regime, this is what I use out of the thousands of products I get to try. My skin type - I am 45yo, dry skin with pigmentation (2 pregnancies and a lot of sun in the 90s) and crows feet.
These are the products I use basically every morning. I have tried so many products over the years and I tend to use the same things because they simply work very well for me!
The Madara Organic Skincare Cleansing Milk is my main go-to cleanser which is specially good for dry and sensitive skin. Made of Jasmine Extract and a complex of 100% natural oils it helps hydrate and calm the skin. When I am wearing makeup, I do a double cleanse using the Pai Skincare Light Work Rosehip Cleansing Oil. This cleansing oil transforms into a light texture when a little water is added. The oil based formula attaches to oil in your pores and when washed away, takes the excess sebum with it.
I am an absolute fan of rose toners. After I do my make up, I often really like to spray a bit all over my face. I am a big fan of the KORA Organics Balancing Rose Mist which smells divine and works as a perfect refreshing spray during the day. As an alternative to this quite expensive product, the Juniper Skincare Calming Rose Otto Mist is also a perfect product, which works as well for half the price!
I alternate with these two products: Biologi Bqk Radiance Face Serum and the Mukti Age Defiance Day Serum. The first product comes in a pack of 2 with for a day and night routine, it deeply hydrates my skin and act to prevent the formation of further pigmentation too. The Mukti Serum uses bioactive native extracts including Kakadu Plum, Davidson Plum and Blue Cypress Wood combined with four active peptides which work to limit the appearance of wrinkles.
I am an absolute fan of the Mukti Age Defiance Eye Serum. This serum is full of 5 active peptides which have proven scientific results for their anti-wrinkle, anti-eyebag, highly moisturising and firming effects.
You can absolutely use this Sodashi Eye Lip Smoother for both lips and eyes, this one is my absolute go to as a lip treatment. It will plump the skin and diminish fine lines and puffiness around the eyes and lips. Then, every time I need to apply some lipstick and give a bit of colour to my lips, I always choose the Hurraw Organic Lip Balm in cherry. This is one of the very first products I started stocking on Nourished Life and I am still amazed how good this product is. I like to say it's the best beauty product ever invented.
The Dr Hauschka Tinted Day Cream is simply the original BB Cream and smells so good. It has an adjustable light to medium warm tint and also provides daily hydration!
When it comes to Fake Tan, my pick for the face is the Eco Tan Face Tan Water but for the body, the Three Warriors Self Tan Mousse has the best colour. Please note this is both Eco Tan and Three Warriors are great for face or body, this is just my preference as I have pale skin.
I could not do a beauty routine without mentioning the Weleda Skin Food (famous for its intensive and rich formula) for both Face and Body. It is a multipurpose cream, 100% natural and only containing the purest of plant and flower extracts. Trust me, there is a reason why everybody is using it!
At night time, I apply the Evening Serum of the Biologi Bqk Radiance Face Serum and then over the top I put either the Pai Rosehip Oil or the 100% Pure Multi-Vitamin + Antioxidants Potent PM Facial Oil. In this night time treatment you can get all of these vitamins: Vitamin C, Retinol, Vitamin E, Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamin D3.
Once a week I also use the Madara Re Gene Volume Rebuild Lifting Mask. You can start using it after 30! It definitely lifts the face up!
We've all heard of it, we've likely heard that it's great for the skin, but what does it actually do? And how can we work it into our beauty routine? The word "collagen" has become synonymous with a healthy skincare routine and, for that very reason, collagen supplements, powders and inner beauty boosters seem to be popping up everywhere.
If you want to work a little collagen into your daily routine, read on for our tips on choosing the best possible collagen supplement for you.
We've all heard of retinol- an anti-ageing powerhouse promoting cell turnover, assisting with everything from acne through to fine lines, wrinkles and sun spots. Despite its benefits, many of us remain wary of retinol, instead looking for natural, botanical alternatives that won't sensitise already stressed skin.
This month's beauty box has just arrived on our desk and here is a sneak peek into it...
