All About Edible Bubba!
Much loved skincare brand Edible Beauty has released an exciting new range Edible Bubba for babies! Full of gentle, natural ingredients these baby products are gentle and soothing. Read on to learn all about Edible Bubba!
Did you know that a baby's skin is five times more permeable than our own? This means that their skin is more likely to absorb the products we use on them! Especially when we consider as much as 60% of topical skin-care products are absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream*
One of my favourite brands that we stock here on Nourished Life, Edible Beauty, has created a new range specifically formulated for babies. How exciting!
Edible Bubba is a hypoallergenic baby skincare range rich in nourishing botanicals and full of plant-based ingredients. All of Edible Bubba's products are free from hidden nasties like harsh preservatives and mineral oils! They are also free from beeswax and lanolin. Just like the Edible Beauty range, Edible Bubba's baby skincare is made with only natural botanicals, pure oils and fruits. Not only are they safe to use on your baby's delicate skin but they also work to gently protect, nourish and condition.
Why should baby skincare be all natural?
Baby skin can be sensitive, thin and fragile which means that their skincare products need to reflect this. In mainstream baby products there are four common nasties which we believe are just too harsh for such delicate skin!
The first is Mineral Oils which are often the main ingredient. These oils may cause skin irritation and itchiness. Artificial fragrances are another additive which are can be made with anywhere between 800-4000 chemicals! Propylene Glycol, Dioxane and Ethylated Surfactants are other ingredients to look out for. These are used to make products foam and have been linked to a range of health issues.
What ingredients do Edible Bubba use?
Edible Bubba uses a high quality selection of Australian wildcrafted botanicals like Turkish Delight Seed Oil, Kakadu Plum Seed Oil, Marshmallow Root, Calendula Extract and Chamomile Extract. These oils contain properties that are great for reducing dryness, skin hypersensitivity and irritation. They are also highly nourishing, hydrating and promote healthy skin development.
If your baby suffers from nappy rash or any other skin irritations, the Edible Bubba range is the perfect solution!

Edible Bubba Orange Blossom Hair & Body Wash
Being a mum myself, I know how hard it can be to wash your baby's hair without a struggle! This hair and body wash is the perfect solution. It's hydrating, cleansing and has a calming fragrance that your little one will love. This all-in-one product is made with silky smooth ingredients like sunflower oil and coconut oil, that are also anti-inflammatory! It can be applied even to the most sensitive of skin and like all of the Edible Bubba products, is completely natural!
Edible Bubba Coco Bottom Creme
There's nothing worse than painful nappy rash! It doesn't have to cause frustration however, because this bottom creme helps to treat and protect against nappy rash! It contains coconut oil and candelilla wax to help provide a thick barrier against moisture and soreness. With a yummy coconut scent, this bottom creme is any mum's life saver!
Edible Bubba Cucumber Soothe Me Balm
One of the most popular products from the range is the Soothe Me Balm which can be applied to any baby who suffers from skin irritation. It can be used to soothe mild forms of eczema, bug bites, nappy rash and more! I find that it's best applied before bedtime because it cools, calms and soothes red sore areas.
